Admin Favorites

As admins of a cleaning page, we get asked two questions pretty often.

  1. Is your house, like, always clean?

    • No. The answer is always, unequivocally no.

  2. What’s your favorite cleaning product?

Here, on this page, we have attempted to list our favorite cleaning items just for you!

Laura Armbrust
  • Biz – I have children and enzymes are my friend.
  • Shark navigator – Still sucking strong 4 years later. Easy to maneuver and carry up and down stairs.
  • Libman freedom spray mop – Reusable pads wash up great, and I can clip any rag on there if needed. Any cleaner solution can go in the tank.

Kristi Lee Armstrong
  • Persil – This is the only detergent that’s made an impact on my son’s sensitive skin. I have used both sensitive and regular with good results.
  • Biz – All of our potty accidents are no match for Biz! My clothes would come out with a faint smell of urine until I added Biz to those loads.
  • Mrs. Meyer’s – Cleans great, smells delicious.
  • Castille Soap – Cleans amazing. Is gentle on my skin that tears with other cleaners. I can clean my dishes, mirrors, windows, cabinets, walls and much more with it.
  • Microfiber – Leaves my windows and mirrors streak free.
  • Bleach – Because when I want to sanitize I want it to be food safe.

Megan Barrett
  • Foca – It works great and it is cheap!
  • Biz – For extra heavy soil, or for soaking away stains.
  • LA’s Totally Awesome – For laundry pretreating and diluted as an all purpose cleaner and degreaser.
  • Ammonia – For gas range and grill grates, and super yucky greasy messes.
  • I also love my floormate for periodic deep cleaning.

Cass Blackwood
  • My favorite kitchen cleaner is LA Awesome. In a 5:1 dilution it cuts grease well, as well as sticky messes. It’s cheap, and the smell doesn’t linger.

Amelia Campbell
  • Folex, because the stain literally disappears in front of me and so far there is nothing it hasn’t removed yet.

Hilary Clay
  • I love Biz, Bac-out, and Shout advanced stain gel.

Heather DeVoll
  • Bissell Little Green Machine – portable carpet/upholstery cleaner. Cleans up any spill I’ve used it on so well that there’s no need for a stain remover.
  • Folex- carpet stain remover – Instantly removes any stain with very little effort and no need to rinse. Even works on old mystery stains.
  • Method All-Purpose cleaners – Available in many wonderful scents. Love them for counters, the fridge, and cabinets.

Ashley Katlyn Fletcher
  • Bleach – I can clean just about anything with it and when I need to sanitize anything, this is the easiest and most effective way.
  • Dawn Ultra – Cuts through any and all greasy, sticky, or caked on messes I leave behind after cooking or baking.
  • Swiffer sweep and mop – makes taking care of my tile and laminate floors so much easier.
  • SOS pad – Works BEAUTIFULLY on my pots and pans.
  • Tide 4 in 1 Pods Botanical Rain – My laundry is so clean and smells AMAZING!

Katie Jabeck
  • Better Life “Whatever” multipurpose cleaner – Pleasant scent (or scent free available), natural, kid & pet safe, doesn’t leave behind a residue, and does a great job of cleaning pretty much everything.
  • Whip It Multipurpose cleaner on tile and slate – Super effective and environmentally friendly.
  • Shark Rocket Vacuum – Amazing power and extremely versatile.

Elicia Koehn
  • Pine-Sol.

Erica M Lemon
  • Lysol® Dual Action Disinfecting Wipes – They disinfect, scrub and do a great job with general cleaning as well as scrubbing grease off my stove!

Ida Morris
  • Folex – One try and the stuff sells itself for carpet and upholstery, as well as stubborn stains.
  • Shark – Affordable, good suction, and exemplary customer service.
  • Microfiber cleaning rags – Versatile for every surface.
  • Dawn and Tide – I can’t really think of why, I apparently tend to be life-long loyal.

Amanda Perez
  • I love so many cleaning products. So many.
  • Floors – Bruce and my microfiber mop.
  • Hard surfaces – Lysol or Scrubbing Bubbles of Clorox Cleaner with Bleach if I’m battling a virus or cleaning up chicken juice or pee or poo. I like Mrs. Meyers if I’m just doing maintenance cleaning (not requiring a disinfectant for me).
  • Dusting – Swiffer dusters.
  • Cleaning in general – Microfiber clothes and my unpaper towels.
  • Stoves and sinks – Bar Keepers Friend and Weisman Stainless Steel or Oven Cleaners.
  • Pot and Pans – SOS Pads or Bar Keepers Friend
  • Oven – Easy Off
  • Walls – Any cleaner, a rag, and hot water.
  • Upholstery – Folex
  • Carpets – I hate our carpets and don’t care. They are spotty and I refuse to clean them because they will be removed at some point.
  • Laundry – Tide, Gain in Apple Mango Tango, Biz, Calgon, Nature’s Miracle for cat or any other issues with urine.

Laura Reznicki
  • Natures miracle urine destroyer. If you have pets or even kids you should keep it on hand for pee clean up.

Tiffany Wilks
  • Lysol disinfectant all purpose spray (yellow bottle) you can clean any hard surface with it! Sinks, tubs, toilets, counters, tables – smells great and is effective.
